Exploring liminal conditions through cast surfaces, light and spatial perception.

Megan Eccles: A UK-based contemporary artist.

My practice explores liminal conditions through an investigation of light, surface, and spatial perception. Working with cast surfaces taken from architectural spaces associated with lived experience, I create paintings that hold traces of time, encounter and change. Through installation, light, shadow and spatial relationships become active elements in the work, producing shifting experiences that destabilise fixed perception.

Alongside my studio practice, writing and research continue to inform my thinking, shaping an approach that is attentive to impermanence, perception, and experience.
